Intermediate Navigation Group - ONLINE

In Week 1 we’ll start by discussing what we learnt last year, how it affected last year's paddling and what to review and look at this year. We can also plan to include trip planning for the areas that we hope to paddle in later this year. There’ll be a quiz to see how much you can remember from last year!

Reference materials that you may find useful: local OS maps, Admiralty or Imray Chart of South Devon, Tidal Stream Atlas of the South Devon Coast by Mike Fennessy (can be ordered from the author or chandleries), Sea Kayak Navigation by Franco Ferrero, South West Sea Kayaking by Mark Rainsley. A handheld compass would also be useful.
