Annual Awards Dinner & Dance

The dinner dance event is for everyone: old members, new members and non paddling partners.  Please come along we would love to see as many of you as possible!  This year to encourage more youngsters we have a special children’s price of £6 for three courses 

ENTERTAINMENT: Dancing after dinner, please request your choice of dance music for consideration

TIME: 7pm for 7.30pm

DRESS CODE: Smart casual, leave your dry and wet suits at home!

MENU

Starters

Honey Roasted Parsnip Soup(v) - roasted Garlic and pine nut pesto

Smoked Mackerel -  beetroot, potato and watercress salad with mayonnaise

Game and Bacon Terrine - fruit chutney, mixed leaves and sourdough toast

Mains

Root Vegetable Gratin(v) blue cheese sauce and seasonal vegetables

Roasted Salmon Filet - bubble and squeak, braised leeks with caper and lemon butter sauce

Roast Devon Turkey - served with al the trimmings including roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables

Desserts

Homemade Christmas pudding - brandy cream sauce and berry compote

Dark Chocolate Torte - chocolate sauce , whipped cream and crushed pistachios

Pear and Almond Tart  - apple puree, toasted almond and ice cream

SLIDE SHOW

During  the evening there will be a slide show running of paddling photos taken  by members during this year and we'll be asking for your photos to show nearer the time

After Dinner we will be handing out awards for the  following categories to celebrate paddlers who are not necessarily  technically best but have embraced paddling with enthusiasm, commitment  and a positive attitude:

  Best New Junior of the Year

  Junior Paddler of the Year

  Best New Paddler of the Year

  Adult Paddler of the Year

  The Totnes Canoe Club Cup - voted for by everyone attending the evening for someone who has made a big contribution to the club
