Totnes Canoe Club Christmas Meal 2022

The Christmas Meal is for everyone: old members, new members and non paddling partners.  Please come along we would love to see as many of you as possible!

Once again, this year to encourage younger members (16 and under), we have a special price of 50% off the full price.

TIME: 7.15pm for 7.45pm

DRESS CODE: Smart casual, leave your dry and wet suits at home!

Starters

Spiced minestrone soup, bread & butter

Smoked salmon, smoked salmon, cucumber & cream cheese parcel, pickled courgette ribbons, crostini

Ham hock terrine, piccalilli, toasted croute

Bread & houmous, selection of home made breads, houmous, compound butter 

Szechuan glazed ribs, toasted sesame

Mains 

Roast crown of turkey, stuffing, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, vegetables, gravy & cranberry sauce

Roast rump of lamb, dauphinoise potatoes, minted peas, gravy. seasonal vegetables 

Catch of the day fishcakes, saffron cream, dressed leaves

During the evening there will be a slide show running of paddling photos taken by members during this year and we'll be asking for your photos to show nearer the time

After Dinner we will be handing out awards for the following categories to celebrate paddlers who are not necessarily technically best but have embraced paddling with enthusiasm, commitment and a positive attitude:

  The Totnes Canoe Club Cup - voted for by everyone attending the evening for someone who has made a big contribution to the club
