About the Event
This peer trip is to the dam release river Tryweryn. The lower section is suitable for white water kayakers and canoeists who are comfortable on grade 2, the upper section is grade 3. There are different local rivers of varying grades available if rain allows!
Non-paddling family members who want to watch, try out rafting or walking are welcome. Unfortunately, no pets are allowed at the bunkhouse, but the white-water centre is dog friendly.
National White Water Centre. Please note that paddling on the Tryweryn cost £10 pp per day payable to the centre on arrival. (Affiliated club rates) . There is no charge for non-paddlers .
Additional Friday Paddling Trips
There is usually a whitewater trip arranged on the River Dee, based at Llangollen, on the Friday for those that wish to travel up on the Thursday, however you need to sort out your own accommodation.
